iPhone 17 Pro Max at a glance

A larger ProMotion display. Storage up to 2TB.

Display: 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED · ProMotion up to 120Hz
Chip: A19 Pro
Rear cameras: 48MP Main + 48MP Ultra Wide + 48MP 4x Telephoto
Connector: USB-C · USB 3 up to 10Gb/s

The original iPhone 17 Pro Max has an aluminum unibody, Ceramic Shield 2 front, Ceramic Shield back, LiDAR Scanner, Action button, Camera Control, Dynamic Island, Face ID, and MagSafe charging. The 8x option is optical-quality cropping, not a separate 8x lens.

Common iPhone 17 Pro Max repairs

Repair help for your iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max brings a larger 6.9-inch ProMotion display and storage options up to 2TB to the A19 Pro family. Its size matters for repair parts. Confirm the full Pro Max model name and tell us whether the issue affects touch, charging, calls, or a particular camera view.

Screen repair

A cracked corner, dark patch, or unresponsive area on the 6.9-inch display needs the correct Pro Max screen assembly. Ask which replacement option is available and which original display features it supports.

Battery replacement

If your Pro Max shuts off unexpectedly or no longer lasts through your usual routine, bring it in for a battery assessment. We will explain replacement options after checking the symptoms.

USB-C charging port repair

Does charging stop when the cable moves, or does your computer stop recognizing the phone? Bring the cable you use so we can assess the USB-C connection and other possible causes.

Back-glass repair

The aluminum unibody and Ceramic Shield back can be affected differently by a drop. Let our Dothan team inspect rear damage, sharp edges, and the camera area before recommending work.

Camera repair

If wide shots will not focus or the zoom view shakes, tell us the affected setting. The Pro Max has three 48MP rear cameras, including a 4x Telephoto lens; its 8x option is optical-quality cropping.

Speaker & microphone

When a call sounds faint or a video loses audio, note whether the problem affects the earpiece, speaker, or recording. Showing us the issue helps guide the assessment.

Frequently asked questions

iPhone 17 Pro Max repair questions, answered.

Get the details you need before your repair.
Still have a question? Give us a call!

How do I confirm that I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max?

Open Settings → General → About and read Model Name. It should say iPhone 17 Pro Max. Do not choose parts using storage capacity or screen size alone. If you cannot use the screen, our Dothan team can help identify the phone.

Can an iPhone 17 Pro screen be used for an iPhone 17 Pro Max repair?

No. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, while the iPhone 17 Pro has a 6.3-inch display. Both support ProMotion up to 120Hz, but their screen assemblies are different. Ask about the replacement screen available for your exact Pro Max model.

What does an iPhone 17 Pro Max repair cost in Dothan?

Pricing depends on the damaged part and your phone’s condition. Our Dothan team will confirm the iPhone 17 Pro Max repair quote before work begins. Ask about $25 off repairs over $49.99 and our Lowest Price Guarantee. Restrictions may apply.

Can an iPhone 17 Pro Max repair be completed the same day?

Same-day repair may be available depending on the issue, inspection, parts, and current schedule. Call (334) 405-9812 before visiting so we can check availability for your iPhone 17 Pro Max and estimate the timing.

Can you assess both charging and USB-C data problems on my iPhone 17 Pro Max?

Yes. Tell us whether the phone stops charging, fails to connect to a computer, or does both. The original Pro Max supports USB 3 through USB-C, but a cable, adapter, port, battery, or another component can affect the connection. An inspection helps establish the repair to quote.

Does the iPhone 17 Pro Max have a separate 8x Telephoto camera?

No. Its rear system has 48MP Main, 48MP Ultra Wide, and 48MP 4x Telephoto cameras. The 8x option uses optical-quality cropping rather than a separate 8x lens. Tell us which zoom setting has the problem so we can assess the affected camera system.

Is there a warranty on iPhone 17 Pro Max repairs?

Selectel Wireless Dothan repairs are backed by a 1-year parts and labor warranty. Before approving your iPhone 17 Pro Max repair, ask our team to explain the coverage for the work you select.

What should I bring with my iPhone 17 Pro Max for repair?

Back up important photos and files whenever you can. Bring your usual cable if the problem involves charging, and note which camera view or app shows the issue. Call first if you want us to check parts and timing before your visit.

Will a repair restore my iPhone 17 Pro Max’s original water resistance?

A repair does not guarantee the phone’s original water resistance. Avoid exposing your phone to liquids and ask our Dothan team what to expect for the repair you choose.
