What does the AWP offer include?
Qualifying households can receive a free phone and their first two months free on the $40 monthly service plan. That plan includes unlimited talk, text, and data, with the first 20 GB at high speed and data continuing at 3G speeds afterward. After the introductory period, the recurring $10 monthly discount applies to eligible plans. An activation fee and offer terms apply.
Which monthly plans qualify for the discount?
The recurring $10 AWP discount applies to Selectel Wireless monthly service plans priced $25 or higher. The first two free months apply to the $40 plan. After that, choose an eligible plan that fits your needs. For example, the $25 plan is $15 per month with the AWP discount, and the $40 plan is $30 per month. Explore monthly plans or ask your store for help.
Who can qualify?
You may qualify if someone in your household receives SNAP or EBT, Medicaid, Social Security Disability, Veterans Pension or Survivors Benefits, or Federal Housing Assistance (Section 8). You may also qualify based on household income below 135% of the federal poverty level. Start the eligibility check or visit a store to review your situation.
Is there an activation fee?
Yes. The current activation options are:
- $19.99 when you transfer your existing number and enroll in AutoPay.
- $39.99 when you get a new number and enroll in AutoPay.
- $49.99 without a number transfer or AutoPay.
How long does the application take?
You can begin the eligibility check in about a minute. Most applications are reviewed the same day, often within an hour. Timing depends on the information and documents provided. If you have not heard back within three hours, contact your local Selectel Wireless store.
How many discounts can my household receive?
There is a limit of four AWP discounts per household. Your store can help review eligibility and enrollment for each line.
Can I keep my current phone number?
Yes. You can transfer your existing phone number to Selectel Wireless. Keep your current service active until the transfer is complete, and ask your current carrier for any account information or transfer PIN needed. Your local Selectel team can help with the next steps.
Are there contracts or credit checks?
No. Selectel Wireless monthly service plans do not require a long-term contract or a credit check. AWP eligibility and offer terms still apply.
